Peel, devein, and rinse the shrimp, then pat them dry completely.
1 lb large raw shrimp
Season the shrimp with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
½ teaspoon Italian Seasoning, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer (do not overcrowd the pan) and cook for about 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque and curl into a loose “C” shape. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
1 tablespoon olive oil
Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter and minced garlic to the same pan. Scrape up the flavorful browned bits left behind from the shrimp as the garlic cooks for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
3 tablespoons butter, 5 garlic cloves
Return the shrimp to the pan and spoon the garlic butter sauce over top.
Add fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley, then serve immediately while warm.
