Instructions
Unroll the dough onto a nonstick cutting board. Using a rolling pin gently roll the pizza dough to create an even base of approximately 16 x 11 inch rectangle.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough (using a tablespoon) and sprinkle with the ground cheese.
Add toppings of your choice.
Starting from the bottom of the longer side, roll up the dough tightly, to form a log. Using a sharp serrated knife cut the dough into even size pieces, approximately 1 1/2 inches each.
Place the pizza rolls in a single layer in the air fryer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, place as many rolls as will fit, making sure they are not touching or overlapping (about 1 inch apart). Leave the remaining rolls to cook as a second batch.
Place the basket in the air fryer and cook the pizza rolls at 350°F for approximately 5 minutes. Flip the rolls over on the opposite side and cook for another 5 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat with the next batch.
Notes
Other suggested toppings: mushroom slices, tomato slices, sundried tomatoes, olives, grilled chicken, bacon bits or bacon pieces, pineapple, anchovies, roasted red peppers, jalapeno pepper, onion slices etc.
Regularly check the pizza rolls towards the end of the cooking time to prevent overcooking. The outer layer should be golden brown and crispy.
To reheat simply use the air fryer at a lower temperature for a shorter time (about 2-3 minutes), or use an oven for a few minutes until warmed through.
Some popular dipping sauces include marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or a spicy mayo.
