Wash and dry strawberries well by gently patting them dry with paper towels. The chocolate will not set well if the strawberries are wet.
Fill 3 separate, small to medium size, pots with water (maximum halfway). Bring water to a boil and reduce heat to simmer.
Place the dark, milk, and white chocolate chips/chunks into 3 separate pans or into 3 separate heatproof bowls - small to medium size.
Set the pans/bowls over the simmering water to melt the chocolate. Using a stirring spoon, stir until the chocolate has fully melted. Once fully melted, remove from heat.
Line a large plate or a sheet pan with parchment paper.
One by one, hold the strawberry by the stem and dip each strawberry into the desired melted chocolate. Once fully dipped, lift and slightly twist the strawberry to get rid of excess chocolate.
Set each dipped strawberry on the parchment paper.
For a special effect, dip a fork in white chocolate (for darker chocolate-dipped strawberries), or in dark chocolate (for white chocolate-dipped strawberries) and drizzle the chocolate over the chocolate covered strawberries.
Set the strawberries aside for approximately 30 - 40 minutes to allow the chocolate to set. Enjoy!
Notes
It's best to keep leftovers in the refrigerator so the chocolate is crispy and doesn't melt :)
