This is a super simple Maple Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Wings recipe! You really don't need many ingredients for this, and most of the work is done in the oven. This is a great no-fail beginner-cook recipe.
1/2teaspoonground black pepperor 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes for more spiciness
1packageabout 1 lb. maple-flavored bacon
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper, or foil, and place wire rack inside, or on top of the baking sheet.
Place chicken wings in a large mixing bowl and pat dry with paper towels. Add the Worcestershire sauce and ground black pepper. Toss well.
Place the bacon slices on a cutting board and slice the bacon into halves. Wrap each seasoned chicken wing with the bacon half and place on the rack, in a single layer, making sure the chicken wings are not touching each other.
Bake wings in the oven at 425°F until the bacon has browned, about 30-35 minutes. Take the wings out of the oven and, using tongs, gently flip over each wing. Return wings to the oven and increase heat to 450°F. Bake for another 15 minutes, until the bacon has browned and become crispy.
Notes
If maple-flavored chicken wings are not available: Place regular (not flavored) bacon on a cutting board and brush both sides of the bacon slice with maple syrup, before wrapping each chicken wing. You will need about 4 tablespoons of maple syrup per 12 bacon slices.
As an option, you may also like to add some extra maple syrup glaze even if you have maple-flavored bacon. Using a pastry brush, or a silicone brush, brush the chicken wings with maple syrup after taking them out of the oven.
Every oven is different, you may need a little less or a little more time in the oven. The wings should be browned and crispy.
